We are so happy and delighted to have two new members join the board of MPK Pony Baseball and USA Softball. Please join us in welcoming Ann Torres and Ben Long as they step into their new roles and help us continue to grow and serve our community!
Ann Torres, Snack Bar Director
We are delighted to introduce Ann Torres as the newest addition to our team. With over 25 years of dedicated experience in child care as a teacher and in private home care, Ann brings a wealth of expertise to her role as Snack Bar Director. Her commitment to community service and organizational leadership is exemplified by her extensive tenure on the boards of PTA and Boosters Club for LAUSD schools in Highland Park and Eagle Rock High School.
Throughout her involvement with these organizations, Ann has spearheaded successful fundraising initiatives supporting a wide range of sports and educational programs. Her efforts have included managing the Snack Bar, coordinating pasta dinners, organizing raffles, and more, all aimed at enhancing the experiences of youth in our community. Ann's deep-rooted connections to La Puente, Eagle Rock, and her current residence in Boyle Heights underscore her strong ties to our local area and its residents.
Beyond her professional and community commitments, Ann is an avid crafter, baker, and enthusiast of all forms of art. Her creativity and passion for excellence will undoubtedly bring fresh ideas and energy to our league. We look forward to her leadership and contributions as we continue to grow and serve our community through MPK Pony Baseball and USA Softball.
Ben Long, Treasurer
We are also excited to welcome Ben Long as the new Treasurer for MPK Pony Baseball and USA Softball. Ben is stepping into this important role, replacing Gerald Yee, who has served as Treasurer since the league's inception.
Ben brings with him extensive financial experience, a much-needed asset as we continue to grow and evolve. With his expertise, we are confident that Ben will enhance our financial operations, providing the transparency and clarity that are essential for our league's future success. His focus on creating a more open and clear financial process will help usher in a new era for our organization, benefiting players, families, and supporters alike.
Together, Ann and Ben will play pivotal roles in helping us achieve our goals and ensure a bright future for MPK Pony Baseball and USA Softball. We look forward to their leadership and the positive impact they will have on our community.
Thank you both for taking time out of your busy lives to make a difference in the lives of the children at MPK Pony Baseball and USA Softball!
